Can I cancel my Jet2 flight and get a refund?

If you decide to cancel your whole booking or to cancel the ticket for an individual passenger in your party, Jet2 does not provide any refunds.

Don't despair, you still have options! Two options to be precise - you can consider changing the name on your booking to someone else who can travel in your place or you can change the dates of travel. The only thing you cannot change is the departure or destination airport.

Can I change the dates of my Jet2 flight?

Yes, you can change the dates and times of your Jet2 flight.

  • Online: Changes should be made online at www.Jet2.com up to 5 hours before the originally scheduled departure time
  • In-person: At the departure sales desk at least 2 hours before the originally scheduled departure time
  • Through their call centre: At least 4 hours before the originally scheduled departure time

How much does it cost to change the date on your Jet2 flight?

  • An administration fee of £35 per flight
  • The difference (if any) in price between the original booking and the price applicable to the new booking

Once you have checked-in you may only change your booking through the call centre. Jet2 does not allow any requests to change your point of departure or destination. If you wish to change these by making a new booking then it will be like cancelling your current ticket.

Can I change the name on my Jet2 booking?

Yes! If you're travelling with Jet2, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. This means that you are able to get a refund for your flight by selling it to another person.

You are entitled to make one name change per booking where you will have to pay only an administration fee of £35 per person, per one way flight. For each additional or subsequent name change, you will have to pay the following amendment charges:

  • The administration fee of £35 per person, per one way flight
  • The difference (if any) in price between the original booking and the price applicable to the new booking
Important: Please also note that any discounts you had on the original fare will no longer apply and you'll need to pay the extra cost if you make a change.

If you have made a genuine spelling error of up to 4 letters, you can contact Jet2 by phone or email and they will update your name for free. If the change is up to 3 letters, you can do it online. Please note that free of charge changes to names will only be considered for genuine errors and not for a change of person.
