Can I cancel my TUIfly flight and get a refund?

Yes, however, you will be charged a processing fee of €15 per person for each cancelled flight (CHF 21/GBP 13/USD 21/CZK 370/SEK 140). TUIfly's Terms and Conditions state that the fee is €35, which contradicts the information given on their site - it will be one of the two, just bear that in mind.

And you will not receive a full refund after the cancellation, just the passenger-related taxes and fees for the section of the flight you did not take. If you want to recover more money for your flight, you can transfer your flight in the name of someone else to redeem some of your money from the unused flight. Can I change my TUIfly booking?

Yes! This will depend on the length of the flight. Here are the details:

Change of flight date or flight time

Short and medium haul flights
  • Until 3 days before the flight date (check-in date): € 50 pp./ way
  • If the new fare is greater than the initial one the price will be adjusted
  • If the new fare is lower than the initial one there will be no refund; the cost will be maintained
  • Less than 3 days before the flight date or in case of no show: no refund will be paid
Long haul flights (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Zanzibar, Jamaica, USA, Aruba, Curacao, Mexico)
  • Until 3 days before the flight date (check-in date): € 120 pp./ way
  • If the new fare is greater than the initial one the price will be adjusted
  • If the new fare is lower than the initial one there will be no refund; the cost will be maintained
  • Less than 3 days before the flight date or in case of no show: no refund will be paid

Change of route

Can I change the name on my TUIfly booking?

Yes! If you're travelling with TUIfly, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. This means that you are able to get a refund for your flight by selling it to another person.

Important: If the current, alternative flight price is more expensive, any difference must be paid. However, if the fare is lower, a refund cannot be made. If a rebooking and a name change are made at the same time, the fees are doubled (one for the rebooking and one for the name change). Also, if you have a return flight, you have to change the name of both legs of the journey. It is not possible to fly with your name for the outbound flight and then change the name for the inbound flight.
