All bookings made within 24 hours (excluding same-day travel) can be cancelled for no fee. Same-day travel is a flight departing within 24 hours from the time of booking.

Cancel fees after 24 hours from the time of booking:

  • Basic fares: There is no refund or future travel credit for cancellations after 24 hours from the time of booking

Fares with flexibility

  • EconoFlex fares within Canada: Cancel your flight for no fee. Credit will be deposited in your travel bank
  • PremiumFlex and BusinessFlex fares: Cancel your flight for no fee. Refund returned to original form of payment

If your ticket type is Economy, Economy Flex, Premium or Business, you can still cancel your WestJet flight, but you will have to pay a fee. The fee depends on where you are flying and also when you are canceling.

Can I change my WestJet booking?

Yes! WestJet allow date, time and destination changes for their flights. All bookings made within 24 hours (excluding same-day travel) can be changed and you don't have to pay a fee.
